The D&D Gunworks M40 Scope Mount is a close reproduction of the Redfield Jr. style scope mounting system associated with the original USMC M40 sniper rifle.
Developed for use in our own M40 rifle builds, this mount provides builders with a readily available option for M40 clone, reproduction, and restoration projects without having to locate increasingly difficult-to-find original Redfield components.
The mount closely follows the appearance and configuration of the original Redfield Jr. style mounting system and includes the distinctive 4-screw scope rings used on the M40.
Our mounts also use stainless steel windage screws, providing a durable replacement for this important part of the mounting system.
These mounts are manufactured and physically in stock at D&D Gunworks.
The website may show the mounts as available on backorder because we complete the final finishing and bluing in-house. The mounts themselves are already manufactured and on hand; they are not awaiting an outside production run.
Orders may require additional processing time while the final finish is completed. This allows us to maintain inventory of these specialized M40 mounts while completing the final finishing process in our own shop.
These are D&D Gunworks-manufactured reproduction mounts intended for M40-style rifle builds. They are not original vintage Redfield mounts and are not manufactured by or affiliated with Redfield.
As with any reproduction or replacement firearm component, individual rifles and installations can vary. Proper fit and installation should be verified during assembly.
