M40A1 Action Screw & Escutcheon Kit – Remington 700

Complete action screw and escutcheon hardware kit for M40A1-style Remington 700 short-action builds and reproductions.

This kit combines our Remington 700 socket-head action screws with the escutcheon used in the M40A1 bottom metal installation, providing the primary mounting hardware needed when fitting an M40A1-style bottom metal assembly.

The action screws are made from carbon steel and use a 3/16″ Hex. They are intentionally supplied long so they can be trimmed during installation for the proper fit on the individual rifle. Final screw length can vary depending on the stock, bedding and bottom metal installation.

The escutcheon is designed for use with the front trigger guard mounting screw and is the same component we include with our D&D Gunworks M40A1 Bottom Metal assemblies.

Fitment

M40A1 rifles and reproductions are individually fitted and bedded. The action screws are therefore intentionally supplied long and should be trimmed as necessary during final assembly.

Some fitting and gunsmithing may be required. Always verify proper fit, clearance and function during installation.
