These are the same match barrels we use on our production guns.  We have passed our volume savings on to you so you can complete your project.  These are carbon steel and cut for a standard recoil lug with 1/10 twist.  The A3 generally had a heavier recoil lug and we will have that option available before long, you can have your gunsmith cut the shoulder back for a thicker recoil lug if you like. These are button rifled match grade barrels, out average group size with these has been well under 1 MOA usually closer to .5 MOA or better. This is the correct contour and length for the M40a3 Rifle.  We have pre-threaded and short cambered this barrel in 308win / 7.62 NATO to make life a little easier.  If you have any questions feel free to contact us.
