The D&D Gunworks M40A1 Pillar Bedded Rifle is our most affordable entry into the M40A1 family, offering the classic appearance and handling characteristics of the legendary U.S. Marine Corps sniper rifle while maintaining the accuracy and reliability expected from a modern precision rifle.

Built for shooters, collectors, and enthusiasts who appreciate the history of the Marine Corps Scout Sniper program, this rifle delivers the unmistakable look of the M40A1 while incorporating several practical upgrades designed to improve consistency, durability, and overall performance.

Unlike the original rifles issued by the U.S. Marine Corps, this model features modern pillar bedding, a free-floated barrel, a Timney adjustable trigger, and a one-piece steel bottom metal assembly. These enhancements provide excellent accuracy while maintaining the classic profile that made the M40A1 one of the most recognizable sniper rifles in military history.

The rifle is built around a McMillan HTG stock finished in forest camouflage and fitted with a black buttpad and standard swivels. A carbon steel barrel in the correct M40A1 contour is free floated and paired with a waterproofed barrel channel to help maintain consistent performance in varying environmental conditions.

This rifle utilizes our reproduction Unertl-style scope mount designed for non-clip-slotted receivers, allowing builders and collectors to achieve the classic M40A1 appearance without requiring a clip-slotted action.

Guaranteed accuracy is 1 MOA or better with quality ammunition, just like the original.
