The D&D Gunworks Remington 700 BDL Bottom Metal is a steel bottom metal assembly designed for builders seeking the strength, appearance, and durability of traditional steel construction.

Originally developed for use on our M40-series rifle builds, this bottom metal is compatible with Remington 700 short action rifles utilizing a standard BDL inlet. Whether you are restoring a classic hunting rifle, building a custom Remington 700, or completing an M40-inspired project, this assembly provides a solid foundation for your build.

Each assembly is manufactured from steel and hand fit by D&D Gunworks to ensure proper function. The floorplate, latch, spring, and related components are individually fitted and checked before shipment. Because stock dimensions can vary between manufacturers and even between individual stocks, minor fitting may be required during installation. We intentionally manufacture these assemblies for a snug fit rather than a loose, oversized fit.

At this time, these bottom metal assemblies are supplied in the white, allowing builders to apply the finish of their choice and perfectly match the rest of their rifle. Customers seeking a finished assembly may contact us directly, as matte blued and parkerized options are available upon request.
