Our steel M5 bottom metal is made for Remington 700 pattern rifle builds using an M5 inlet and AICS-pattern magazines.

Most M5 bottom metal options on the market are aluminum. We made this part from solid steel for shooters who want added strength, durability, and a more rugged feel in the rifle. Steel adds weight compared to aluminum, but it also gives the part a more durable, hard-use character that many precision rifle and clone-style builds benefit from.

Important fitment note: This part is for stocks already cut for the M5 bottom metal footprint. It is not a direct drop-in replacement for a standard BDL inlet without stock modification. Some fitting may be required depending on the stock, action, and magazine combination.
